Rosario Dawson Enhances the Audi A4 Grill for One Seriously Voluptuous Ride
Thelma and Louise sought top-down glory in a light blue '66 Thunderbird convertible. Carol Brady settled for a Plymouth station wagon, an eminently practical choice -- and about as exciting as a slice of spam. We'll take Pepper Potts in an Audi S5 any day! Audi took over the red carpet at the Iron Man premiere in LA as stars arrived in Audi R8's, Q7's and A8L sedans. Stark's Audi R8 was also on display at the premiere. Jeff Bridges, Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau and Terence Howard all arrived in R8 while Gwyneth Paltrow arrived in an Audi A8L W12 sedan, and Jack Black, Leslie Bibb and Vince Vaughn showed up in Audi Q7's.
Audi's Scott Keogh and Lothar Korn posed for pics with Gwyneth Paltrow at the splashy premiere. Earlier in the day, a motorcade of 10 police-escorted Audi R8's blitzed the Los Angeles area, the greatest number of R8's ever to be driven together in the U.S. The vehicles started in downtown Los Angeles and circulated throughout Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Westwood, and Brentwood, ending at the Roosevelt Hotel.
Audi has developed a micro-site for the film available at www.audiusa.com/ironman. The site includes exclusive behind-the-scenes content, interviews with the cast and crew, Audi Iron Man commercials, background on use of Audi vehicles on the movie set, etc.
Audi is thrilled to celebrate two great properties this evening Iron Man and the R8, said Jeff Kuhlman, Chief Communications Officer for Audi. Hollywood is the perfect opportunity to showcase this exciting performance of the R8, starring alongside the stellar cast of this crowd-pleasing movie.
Audi makes sophisticated, refined vehicles with complex surfacing and highly-evolved design. It's unique body blends convex and concave shapes and the female market is most certainly responding to this fluid, inspired form. Besides sophistication, women are also looking for subtlety. Women have such a good eye for detail, which is why Audi has perfected all of the key driving interfaces such as the gauges, shifter area, steering wheel and seats. Audi has set an example for all other manufacturers to pay more attention to women drivers in the near future. The companies who make the mistake of not doing so will find themselves way behind.
