Hair trends. They come and go. For a period, every woman in North America would have given her left foot to look like Rachel Green on Friends. But now... bouncy, shoulder-length layers are out and volume-free, slicked back tresses are in.

Bet you never thought about it, but your scalp could be your sexiest attribute! Or at least that's what Big Love star Chloe Sevigny must have considered before rocking this sleek do. A look like this really asks your facial features to play the leading roll. 

Designers opted for this aerodynamic style on the runways for NYFW, but can this look be worked on a day-to-day basis?

With her milky complexion and red lipstick, Chloe looks a touch gaunt. Instead of Chloe the HBO star, she looks like Casper the Friendly Ghost. Yes, in place of seeming chic and on-trend, she's gone for unkempt and greasy. YUCK! Hit the showers, girl!

Paired with a deeper neckline to highlight her feminine parts, and dramatic eyes, this look could have been really glam!

To improve on it, try teasing the ends for a bit of face-framing volume, and make sure that the hair product you use isn't oil based. You want to look dazzling, not dirty.
