I See, Then I Sniff, Then A Sale
Typically, television commercials (with exception to maybe those aired during the Super Bowl) fail to inspire me to spend.
There
is something about perfume and cologne advertisements, however, that
seems to always win me over. Based on the advertisements alone, there
are currently at least three perfumes that I want to own based solely
on advertising alone.
Chanelalways has brilliant advertising for their perfume. Their commercials
stand far ahead of any other I`ve seen. They each tell a glamorous and
romantic story. The actresses used as the spokesperson are always
incredibly beautiful and talented. I enjoy watching them over and over
again, and am always intrigued by their product.
J`adore
the advertisements for J`adore by Dior. In my opinion, you can`t find a
more beautiful spokesperson than Charlize Theron. The commercial is
smart and seductive as Theron struts down the hallway dismissing all of
the luxury items she has, telling the viewer to “feel what’s real,
that’s it. J’adore by Dior.”
I
love it every time I see it. However, Dior has also proven to be
enchanting without Theron through their Cherie commercial from Miss
Dior. This one has more of a bubble gum allure to it, with the plush
pinks and pop French song playing in the background.
The
final advertisement that has me wanting more is the Paco Rabanne 1
Million. This is for cologne, but I think it is just amazing. What is
even more amazing is that it has this snappy commercial without a
celebrity spokesperson used to further glamorize it. Unfortunately the
female version of this commercial is not as strong.
Which commercials have sparked your interest of late?
