Nail It With Your Colour Choice

altBare nails can be so boring.  And, not since you were ten could you pull off the 10-fingers-10-colours look.  So, in order to get your nails holiday ready, here are some of the nail polish colours that are hot this winter season

Red nails are always classic, and are combatable with a mixture of styles. A nice crimson red makes a great winter colour. Try NARS jungle red, which is for sale at Holt Renfrew or Sephora stores. These jungle red nails will lend a touch of glamour to all of your holiday outfit.

Metallic
This winter season has brought back the 80’s trend of metallic nail fashion. The revival of this look is a nice change for our nails. OPI, which sells at most salons, has a whole line of metallic nail colours, such as Bring on the Bling (metallic gold) or Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous (metallic silver). If you’re worried about this look being too over the top for you, start out with the lighter metallic tones.

Greige
If you are looking for something more neutral this holiday season, greige is the perfect option for you. It is a mix between grey, brown and beige and can be lighter or darker depending on your preference. Ingrid by China Glaze or Deborah Lippman’s Waking Up In Vegas are both flattering tones of greige. China Glaze is sold at salons and Deborah Lippman is sold at Holt Renfrew.

Black
Black nail colour has returned again this season. And the sexy gothic nail can be paired with a variety of styles. Head over to Shopper Drug Mart where you can purchase Night Flight Creme by Sally Hansen |Insta-Dry to test out this look this Christmas.

Blue
Deep blues have replaced the neon colours that were popular this fall, so try out Rimmel’s Midnight Blue which is available at Shopper Drugmart. If you are worried that the midnight blue may be too dark for you, try a navy blue mixed with grey, such as OPI’s Suede Russian Navy (pictured above). If that’s still too dark for your liking but your eager to try a beautiful blue hue, China Glaze makes a lovely periwinkle polish called Secret Per-Wink-Le.
