Identifying factors that may contribute to excessive sweating

altIt happens to the best of us - we're running around under the summer sun, and before we know it, we're sweating up a storm. Not only can perspiration be an inconvenience, but it can leave you feeling uncomfortable for the rest of the day. However, did you ever stop to think about things that might be triggering your sweat glands? The Huffington Post says there are many ways tell the brain to cool down.

Hot caffeinated beverages are a no-no if you want to avoid sweating throughout the day. Research shows that the caffeine stimulates your central nervous system, activating your sweat glands. Iced tea may be a cooler option during the summer months.

Spicy foods can make you just as hot as they taste. Peppers and other spicy vegetables can make your brain think that the body needs to cool down. As a result, your sweat glands will be activated and worked to the bone.

If you are one of those people who just can't seem to stay dry, consider toting around a hydrating mist. Giving yourself a little spritz on the go can help you feel fresh and smell sweet throughout the day.
