Eyebrows. You pluck 'em, you tweeze 'em, you wax 'em, you
thread 'em - and they always grow right back into a forest of
unmanageable bushiness. Very few of us came out of the womb with perfect
brows, so if you've been fighting a losing battle against the Groucho
Marx look, here's our handy guide to knowing just what shape to aim for
when you break out the tweezers or head to the aesthetician.
For the perfect brow every time, break out something straight, like a ruler of a pencil. Place the pencil against the outer corner of your nostril and hold it straight upwards. Where it hits your brow is where the hair should begin, so pluck any stray hairs that extend over your nose. Switch to the other side and repeat.
Next, tilt the pencil sideways until it diagonally bisects your pupil. Where the point hits is where your arch should begin, so this is where you should pluck your brow thinnest and begin angling the shape downwards.
Finally, tilt the pencil even further until it touches the outer corner of your eye, making sure that its end is still touching the outside of your nostril. Wherever the end of the pencil hits your eyebrow is where the hair should end, so make sure you pluck any strands that extend beyond this point.
