Skin care, hair care and body care with La Roche-Posay

I paid a trip to my dermatologist recently and asked her if she knew any over the counter products that would clear up my skin. My dermatologist recommended me to a line of products called La Roche-Posay.

La Roche-Posay is the #1 dermatologist recommended skin care brand within Canada. The ingredients in each product are combined with la Roche-Posay Thermal Spring water and is rich in the antioxidant Selenium. But what is selenium? The Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine states that "selenium is an important antioxidant trace mineral that functions in the enzyme glutathione perozidase. This enzyme is important in preventing the inflammation of acne." That means that acne occurs when people are lacking this enzyme. However if you increase the amount of selenium in your body (including vitamin E) the level of his enzyme increases, thus reducing acne. La Roche-Posay products nourish your skin by adding more selenium into the body and treating acne more quickly and efficiently.

Over the years, La Roche-Posay has been determined to offer a range of products for patients with different skin conditions. Unlike products that only have one cleanser for every type of problem, La Roche-Posay has come out with a line of pimple-fighting products for oily skin, severely dry skin, intolerant skin, photosensitive skin and prematurely aged skin. They also offer a range of products for hair and body care.

I have personally jumped on the Roche-Posay bandwagon. I have problems with oily skin and have been using the Effaclar Active Matt Moisturizer and Purifying Foaming Gel. Anyone with acne problems needs to try these products!

They are available at Shoppers Drugmart. Although they are a little bit pricey, sometimes people can find a good deal. Shoppers Drugmart sometimes packages two products together and offers them at a reduced price. So keep an eye out and make sure you head on down to a store near you to pick up a Roche-Posay product. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
