Making a Difference, One Dress at a Time
It's something you plan for years. You envision your perfect dress, perfect accessories all tied together with the perfect man. You spend thousands on your bridal vision for just that brief moment in time. Then, roughly 12 hours later, the dress gets dry cleaned and packed into a box as a family keepsake. In modern times, is it realistic to hold onto a wedding gown for sheer memories?
The Brides Project is a wonderful charity shop that gives your dress a chance to change the life a bride, as well as people dealing with cancer. Here's how it works: you donate your dress, accessories, flowers, whatever you have left from your wedding to The Brides Project. When you donate or buy a gown or any other wedding supplies from the shop you are helping The Brides Project continue to offer support to Camp Quality and other organizations that help fight cancer.
Check out The Brides Project at the National Bridal Show, International Center Mississauga Sept 11 - 13 and feel free to bring your gently used, much loved items to help change the life of a future bride and those battling with cancer. Tickets for the show are $15 at the door or $13 when purchased online.
If you can't make it to the bridal show, you can check out their shop located in Toronto. You can stop in during business hours to shop accessories or make a donation, but appointments are necessary to try on their fantastic selection.
