Sad?! He Should Be Terrified! Hasn't He Seen Seasons 1-6 Of HBO's "Oz??"
Don't waste your tears on the victims of the tsunami in Samoa.
Director Roman Polanski is the one who's REALLY suffering.
Polanski was arrested in Switzerland two weeks ago on charges that he fled America in 1977 after pleading guilty to charges that he drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl.
The director left the States because he feared a judge would reject the plea bargain he had made and send him to prison for 50 years.
He's currently being held in jail pending his extradition back the States and is evidently not enjoying making up time for being tardy to the justice party.
According to his lawyer, "I found him to be tired and depressed," Herve Temime told the Sonntag newspaper, one of two newspapers he talked to after visiting the Oscar-winning director in a Zurich prison.
"Roman Polanski, who is 76, seemed very dejected when I visited him," Temime told another newspaper. Polanski was in an unsettled state of mind, he added.
Gee, what could we do to make jail more comfortable for a fugitive child rapist? Perhaps he would care for a nice seaweed wrap and some aromatherapy candles? Or maybe a hot chamomile tea and a Snuggie? Because if anything, being in jail for
raping a child should at least be relaxing.
Maybe some champagne, a Quaalude and involuntary shagging would cheer him up.
