Vince Vaughn Engaged!

Funny Man Prepares to Marry Canadian Girlfriend. Jen Aniston Cries.

Poor Jennifer Aniston. It's bad enough that her ex-husband left her for the world's most desirable woman and then promptly become a father of six. Now she has to suffer the humiliation of not being marriage material for the super-funny-but-hardly-Brad-Pitt Vince Vaughn.

Perhaps she should remind herself that their greatest contribution as a couple was the aptly titled The Break-Up. It's been three years since the demise of all thing lovey-dovey; still, it's gotta sting a little, what with magazines covers pointing to her poor relationship track record when her exes find love elsewhere.

According to People.com, Vince recently popped the question to his Canadian girlfriend, Kyla Weber. Weber, a 29-year-old Calgary real-estate agent is giving non-famous Canadian gals hope for their own Hollywood-wedding fairy tale. (Just as the wives of Nic Cage and Matt Damon inspired the "happily ever after" fantasies of waitresses everywhere.) The happy couple have been keeping their relationship quite low-profile, failing to even confirm their own engagement. But the bride-to-be's father has no problem boasting about his future son-in-law.

Thankfully Jen is now in the arms of John Mayer. Singleness at such a time as this would not be comfortable. As Jen's spoken at length (cleverly, perhaps, manipulating her image in the press) of a desire to raise a family, one must only assume that seeing her exes establish families cannot be fun.

Come on, John. Give that girl a ring and a baby. Or she just might take a cue from her ex's mega-hit and crash his wedding.
