So Bad, It's Good
Professional red carpet walker Mischa Barton just landed a gig and now Lindsay Lohan is actually working at something besides further ruining her career.
Since Lindsay's last acting gig, 2007's flop I Know Who Killed Me, the fallen star has become known more for repeat dust-ups with girlfriend Sam Ronson, trips to rehab and an ever shrinking frame.
Unemployed actresses can't be too choosy, which explains Lindsay's latest stint as spokesperson for Italian fashion label Fornarina (sounds like porn, doesn't it?) in a terrifically bad commercial. Yeah, we've never heard of them either but we think it means: Forever 21 knock-offs.
In the unintentionally hilarious Jems-meets-Tron inspired advert, which looks like it cost about $1.50 to shoot, a malnourished LiLo mugs as pink and blue shapes fly around while she randomly says, "Click. Flash. Wow. Bang. Wink. Smack. Splash. Smash. Crash. Glam, Pink, Heart."
What. The. Hell.
But it's like Lindsay says in the new issue of Nylon magazine, "It's scary when you realize, 'Oh my God, I'm not working. And have a house to pay for now.'"
According to the press release: "In the Fornarina commercial, Lindsay Lohan is a modern Alice in Wonderland who explores 3 metaphysical settings characterized by fluctuating geometrical shapes with neon and fluo colours. An '80s atmosphere revised through a contemporary point of view."
Uhm, OK then. Evidently it lost something in translation.
Lindsay has totally done Saturday Night Live's job for them. The only thing that would make it better is Chris Kittan (we're pretty sure he has the free time), Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake showing up as the head-bobbing Roxbury Guys, asking whoever the chick is that's still left on the show if she wants to "Fornarina."
We're adding this YouTube masterpiece to the top of our Guilty Pleasures list and will be spending the rest day walking around randomly pointing to things and spouting nonsensical words.
