Someone Else's Old Is Your Brand New

If you are anything like me, you probably can't afford to make regular trips over to Holt Renfrew to splurge on the latest Christian Louboutin shoe. The perfect solution to this conundrum is consignment. I was first introduced to consignment stores in Paris, France and instantly fell in love. Over the years a number of fabulous shops have sprung up all across Toronto, promising affordable designer pieces.

Here are just a couple of stops that house some of the most elusive designer pieces in the fashion world.

Haute Classics
946 Yonge St. Toronto, ON M4W 2J2
(416) 922-7900

The front page of their website reads; hardcore style need not come with a high price. The store has a large selection of fabulous pieces, including a large number of Chanel and Louis Vuitton handbags (which are hot sellers). If they don't have what you are looking for then shoppers can put their name on a wish list. The store also provides free shipping on all orders over $250 dollars. Now that's service!

Fashionanly Yours
632 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON M6J1E4
(647) 802-9687
info@fashionablyyours.ca

Fashionably Yours is a consignment store that has it all. Not only is it filled to the brim with great deals, but they also offer a plethora of extra services. Such services include the closet overhaul, wardrobe consultation, personal shopping service and even full image makeovers. Don't be afraid to give them a call because all FY professionals have over 10 years of experience working in the fashion industry.

REmix Clothing
634 Yonge Street, Studio 201, Toronto, ON M4Y 1Z8
(647) 889-4203
salem@remixclothing.ca

Started by Salem, a designer and stylist in Toronto, REmix has quickly become one of my favourite consignment stores. Some new additions to the store include an array of items from Chanel, Gucci and even Alexander McQueen. The store will also exclusively carry the Clinic and Exam Boot from Jeffrey Campbell. If you can't afford some of the pieces, then why not rent out one of the store's dresses for the night. You'll look stunning and you won't break the bank.
