Biggest Broadway Show In Crisis
MyFox.com is reporting that ambulances rushed to Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre during a preview of Turn Off the Dark tonight in New York City.
A cable reportedly snapped during the middle of the second act. Audience members heard screaming, followed by a call for 911. The show was then cancelled.
This is the fourth time that Spiderman, which is Broadway's most expensive production, has been halted due to the injury of a cast or crew-member.
The show officially opens in February, a date which has been pushed back twice (and perhaps a third time after this accident).
U2's Bono and The Edge developed the soundtrack and the show was directed by Broadway vet, Julie Taymor.
