Study finds men to be more relationship-minded on the first date

altWe tend to think that women are the ones who are always trying to get into a serious relationship, but a recent study has revealed that this might not actually be the case. As it turns out, men are just as eager as we are to find The One.

Specialty dating service It's Just Lunch asked 5,000 singles what they think about on a first date. Among women, the most common answer was, "Do I want to see him again?" Nearly half - 47 percent - of men responded that the question they asked themselves on a first date was usually, "Could we have a relationship together?" The findings suggest that it's actually the men, not the women, who are most relationship-minded when it comes to dating.

"We're seeing that men and women are becoming more alike in their dating habits," explained Irene LaCota, spokesperson for It's Just Lunch. "And in some areas, they're beginning to trade places."

So next time you're out with a guy who seems like he could be boyfriend material, let yourself relax - he's probably more interested in a relationship than he's letting on.
