Can You Do Vegas On A Budget?

So you and your girlfriends have had enough of the drab weather, the mundane job routine, and the snooze of a social life lately. It's time for a break. You've been dying to do Vegas but you're not sure you can afford it - what do you do?

Easy. Vegas and all of its glamor is still in the cards for you if you're smart with your planning. You can stroll the strip and sit by the pool sipping Margaritas in no time, without having to break the bank.

Here are some tips on how to plan a cost-friendly Vegas vacation.

Get there cheap - Start with frugality right from the start! Look for flight and hotel package deals online way in advance to make sure you have enough time to score the cheapest option.

Book stay in the middle of the week - The chances of finding a low cost hotel rate are higher when you plan to book your vacation mid-week. If you can take some time off work, this will be a good option for you. If it's not a possibility, aim for a weekend that doesn't fall on a holiday or long weekend.

The more the merrier - The bigger the group the cheaper the expenses. If you can pack a bunch of friends into a hotel room comfortably, and you don't mind sharing space for a few days, book one room and split the cost. This shouldn't disrupt your fun plans as you'll likely spend as much time as possible out and about.

Pre-drink and drink cheap - Partying on the strip can get very pricey as many clubs have outrageous cover charges and the booze inside isn't cheap either. To reduce costs, buy your alcohol at the grocery store and drink before you go out.

Save big meals for the evening - You will of course want to indulge in some delicious cuisine while you are on your trip. Food is everywhere, who can resist? Your wallet will thank you, however, if you reserve your big spending for one big meal a day. Eat light, cheap, and munch on snacks throughout the morning and afternoon and choose one good restaurant for dinner.
