Hit the beach in British Columbia

altIf you're looking to get away this summer, British Columbia has what you're looking for. Plan a trip to Western Canada to explore Canada's most beautiful beaches in some of the most gorgeous natural scenery in the world.

If you're in the Vancouver region, you can't go wrong visiting any of the traditional sandy beaches that line the city. Jericho, Kitsilano, Spanish Bank and English Bay are just a few of the places where you can enjoy a day of fun in the sun and sand. And when the sun starts to set, you can return to the city in just a few short minutes for an evening of dining and drinks.

For the more outdoorsy type, Whistler may be just the place. Sure, this famous mountain is a premiere ski resort in the winter months, but as the days get longer, this region becomes a paradise for hikers, bikers and swimmers. The warm June sun warms the alpine lakes enough to make them comfortable for families and couples to swim and play in.

Near Victoria? Visit the one-of-a-kind Sooke Potholes Provincial Park. Glacial activity over the last thousands of years has created unique deep, polished rock pools and potholes carved naturally into the bedrock of the Sooke River, where you can splash and play to your heart's content.
