An Orlando vacation should include some 'butterbeer'

altIf you're thinking about taking a family vacation this year, Orlando, Florida, might be at the top of your list. Not only does Florida boast warm weather and spectacular beaches, the city of Orlando is a short drive from the coast and offers entertainment that the kids will love at Disney World, Universal Studios and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. And with the Potter film series coming to a close this summer, that last attraction is sure to be a hot-ticket locale.

If you take the kids to this fun amusement park, they'll probably want to enjoy a Butterbeer. Don't worry - it's non-alcoholic! Here's how the folks behind this innovative theme park brought J.K. Rowling's wizarding drink to life.

According to The Huffington Post, Chef Steven Jayson, Vice President and Corporate Executive Chef for Universal Parks & Resorts, worked for three years to create a recipe that mimicked the drink's description in the books. The ingredients are a secret, but the drink is mild and sweet with a distinct butterscotch flavor - and it contains no lactose and no alcohol, so anyone can enjoy it. And when Rowling herself had a sample, she reportedly broke into a smile and said, "Yes - that's it."

If you want to try this sweet concoction, head on down to Orlando for a vacation this summer and check out The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
