Toronto Landmark Joins Sydney Opera House, Eiffel Tower and Times Square

Kill The Lights and Cue the Candles Tonight. Earth Hour has already begun, with the Sydney Opera House turning off as cities across the world observe this rolling black-out in support of a more eco-friendly future.

Paris, London and New York prove black is the new green as everything from the Eiffel Tower to Times Square flick the switch for change.

In Toronto the CN Tower will be powering down, there's live entertainment at Nathan Phillips Square and the U of T astronomy society offers free star gazing from 8pm at McLennan BLdg, 60 St. George.

And if you're staying what better excuse for a romantic candlelit dinner and the chance to make your own fun tonight?

Earth Hour: 8.30-9.30pm tonight.
