'Earthlings': How Joaquin Phoenix Turned Me Veggie

Documentary Film Reveals Truth About The Food Industry

altI want to tell you about a documentary film that changed my life. It's called Earthlings. It's about human relations and the ways in which we use animals from everything from pets to food. The film is narrated by Joachin Phoenix and it has been dubbed "the vegan maker". Why? Because it is shocking and, well, gross. We are not, here in the West, conscious about where our food comes from or how our livestock is treated.

This documentary is a must watch, but I warn you, it's disturbing. I have almost completely stopped eating meat since I watched this for the first time two years ago. I now only eat fish. Many people ask me, if it is so gross and disturbing, then why should I watch it? Well, because we need to see the problem in order to fix it. If we avoid the problems surrounding our society's treatment of animals, then we have no hope to improve them.

I am healthier and in better shape now that I eat more consciously. So be brave, and click the link. Like Joaquin Phoenix, I want to bring awareness to people about how the food we eat effects the environment. By not eating meat, I have seriously reduced my carbon footprint. That is probably one of the most effective things you can do personally to help the planet, so if you care about animal welfare and our planet and want to change your eating habits, check this doc out!

Please say it as not Joaquin. I do love his acting and miss his brother and respect him immensely but he had nothing to do with how that which needs to be viewed by the entire world changed me. I will say I do still eat a bit of meat and dairy but all organic now and coming from a place where animals get a life to live if you want to call it that. But that film should be shown in every damn school worldwide and I would say grade 9 or even 8. If every young adult watched the horror we inflict on the precious creatures we share this place with I know they would stand up and say its time to change. We have to change soon or they will see the end . At this point in my life no kids and no love and 42 to be frank I believe we deserve the hellfire to come . We don't care about them only for money and our time if a worldwide awakening does not happen in the next few years is short, very short.I just wish we didn't have to take them all with us on the ride. Kinda funny though John 2 men comment and no women at woman.ca. No I am not gay even though I don't mind people that are just for the reason alone they don't breed hehe cya Johnboy .
