Tube-Free Toilet Paper

Prepare For The Most Innovative Potty Paper Ever!

The world's largest toilet paper manufacturers, Kimberly-Clark, are on a roll this week with innovative ideas.

The latest being tube free toilet paper. Yes, no more cardboard tubes. You know, because they were always SOOO annoying...?

Apparently the company is introducing a Scott Naturals toilet paper roll designed to hold its own on the spindle without the aid of a tube. The marketing campaign for this one is all about going green and conserving water. Scott brand manager Doug Daniels spoke to AOL News and explained that a proprietary winding technique will keep the roll in place and that consumers will therefore be helping the environment without much effort on their part. Sounds a bit complex for something you're just gonna wipe your butt with...

"It's an easy way to make a difference but consumers won't notice a thing," he said.

We have no idea what a 'proprietary winding technique' entails, but whatever works! AOL News also reported that an estimated 17 billion cardboard tubes are discarded each year and if laid side by side, that could circle the Earth's equator more than 45 times. Whoa. It sounds like tossing the tube could turn out to be an effective plan.

The tube-less toilet paper will go on sale at Walmart and if sales are successful, you might just see it in every toiletry aisle in the country.
