See Sarah Go Dark This Saturday
This Saturday, March 28th, from 8:30-9:30 pm, local time, it is EARTH HOUR. What is Earth Hour you might ask? It is an hour where we as citizens of the world can show policy makers that people do care about their air and global warming. You are taking a stand and promoting awareness of individual electricity use as well as helping to reduce the world's carbon footprint for an hour. All it takes to make a stand is the flip of a switch. Sound simple? It is!
This Saturday evening, Vingnation will be taking her little nation to the ONTARIO SCIENCE CENTRE to take part in Earth Hour celebrations. This celebration will include a free outdoor Star Party where I may get the chance to view Saturn, the Moon and star clusters with high-powered telescopes. All of this accompanied by First Nations storyteller, Aaron Bell and live drumming which I may even get to participate in? How cool is all of that? There will also be Demonstrations showing everyone at the Ontario Science Centre how they can fight climate change by saving energy. There is fun to be had for all ages--from kidlets to granny and gramps!
Get a crew together and hit up the Ontario Science Centre or better yet, just participate. Take a stand - think of your children and their children...its EARTH HOUR and its worth it - promise!
