Women Players Kick Butt in Competition!

Warm hello to all you poker enthusiasts. I'll be writing about poker for WOMAN.ca. I am happy to be here, and to learn what you would like to see in this column, so I look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions.

During the coming weeks, we will be taking you through the basics of poker to more in-depth strategy focused on improving your win rate. We will also be featuring interviews with your favourite professional players that you see in televised tournaments, and some interviews with women who are just like yourself.

You will soon discover that women are great contenders at the poker table, and although we may be outnumbered in major tournaments, the percentage win rate for the women who do enter them surpasses that of their male counterparts.
