Join VING-NATION Saturday February 20th at The Starlight Club!

The winter here in the T dot can be long, cold and find you hibernating at home under your covers tuned into the tube. While don't get me wrong there is much on the tube to keep us quite intrigued and entertained with the Vancouver Winter Olympics et al BUT friends it is good to get out and interact with others once and awhile. Remove yourself from your social comfort zone, meet new peeps but also participate in events that give back to those that are less fortunate then you and I.

Come Spring and Fall we are inundated with parties galore and although it can get to be a bit much when every hour a new message pops up in your Facebook reminding you of this and that. Friends, don't keep ignoringthe messages are worth reading and going through.

In a little over a week there is a fantabulous event that is sure to knock your socks off! Not only are their AMAZING prizes to be won, killer sponsors but also the cause is unbelievable. All monies raised go towards The Starlight Children's Foundation. This is an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses by providing entertainment, education and family activities that help them cope with the pain, fear and isolation of prolonged illness. The event is called THE STARLIGHT CLUB and is Saturday, February 20th @ the NEW Allstream Centre at the CNE. It will retrace its art deco roots as the former Automotive Building. Located at 105 Princes Boulevard.

The event will be a trip through time as The Starlight Children's Foundation celebrates it 20th Anniversary. This voyage will prevail by recreating the energy and experience of the legendary supper clubs of the golden age of Hollywood.

This Saturday evening you will enjoy complimentary food and cocktails. You will have the opportunity to face off against soccer stars like TFC's Danny Dichio at the Wii sports stations. You could even win a brand NEW car generously donated by Infiniti! It is time to get caught up in the action at the luxe silent and live auctions. Be entertained, move and groove, have a blast in the past but most importantly give back to a killer cause!
