Are you looking for some action? Do you like hard-hitting sports? Did you watch Whip It starring Ellen Page and love it? If you answered yes to any or all of those questions then I know where you should be this Saturday night (August 28): Downsview Hanger. Why? You ask. Why would I want to venture that far north on a Saturday night? Because it's Toronto Roller Derby! The Gore-Gore Girls take on The Death Track Dolls.
That's right. Teams of super cool fit chicks with rad nicknames and personas battle it out on roller-skates. Get up close to the action with track-side seating (NB: bring your own blanket or chair) and enjoy pizza, beer, half time performance by Ginger St.James and the Grinders, and ROLLER DERBY!
