Your Last Chance To Get Outside Should Not Be Wasted

Just when we thought we were steering toward autumn, Toronto has been issued a heat alert. Weather forecasters are warning that the next few days will be deadly hot, with temperatures soaring over 30 degrees.
So before you whip out your fall sweaters and trench coats, here are a few ways to enjoy this last sizzlin stretch of summer.

1. The Thompson Hotel Rooftop Pool
Ever since the doors burst open at the luxurious downtown hot spot, the rooftop pool has been abuzz. Everything from daytime dips to evening cocktails have had this stunning patio packed from AM to PM all summer long. If you're lucky, you may sneak a peak at some of the celebrities who have been staying there this month like Adrian Grenier and Enrique Iglesias.

2. Black Hoof Backyard Patio

If you haven't already been, you've got to go. A unique spot on Dundas West boasts the city's best charcuterie, cheese and cocktails - and while the weather still lasts - a quaint little backyard patio to eat them on. Indulge in succulent bone marrow with coarse salk, and follow it up with their signature dessert, The Malteser. Of course, the restaurant is amazing all year round, but the patio is just the cherry on top!

3. Pedestrian Sundays in Kensington Market

If you've got a hankering for the scent of patchouli and a tall, cold organic beer, then make sure to catch the final Pedestrian Sunday in Kensington Market. There, you will find everything from street vendors, to live music, to barefoot dancing in the streets. Then, cool off with a cold one on any of the various patios that the market has to offer.

4. Wine Tasting
Toronto.com reports: The iYellow Wine club will host an informative tour of Ontario's wine country, with a downtown departure point, and stops at four wineries. Participants can sip and savour wines at Malivoire Winery, Creekside Estates, Rosewood Estates and Thirty Bench during the trip. Sounds like a great way to spend the day! (hiccup!)

5. Buskerfest at St. Lawrence Market
Get in on the street action with Buskerfest at the St. Lawrence Market. There, you'll see everything from jugglers to singers to face painters and more. A perfect way to spend the day outside with the family, for less. The festival goes all day and night, so be sure to bring SPF and comfortable shoes, and prepare to be dazzled by all of the city's great talent.
