Celebrate Our Big Day With An LOL

altMarch 8th is, like, a super important day. Well, actually, It’s a totally arbitrary date in the middle of an arbitrary month. Like, I didn’t even know it wasInternational Woman’s Day until I checked my Facebook.

So here are some super quick random funsie ideas for what to do:

Rent Every Kate Hudson Movie

Remember all of those jerks that dumped you? Watch some K-Hud, and you'll quickly learn that they're clearly just being obstinate (which is smart talk for they’re being really stupid) and that you shouldn't give up! Your life is obviously playing out like a romantic comedy. You just need to figure out which one, cut your hair to match the female lead, and win him over for good.
Because that's what reality is really like. Obvi.

Join, Like, A Cause

There are probably some really great "runs" to go on today that will benefit something like research for Heart Disease, or a cure for Ugly Dressers. Also, it will help you burn all those calories that you gained while you were eating that pint of ice cream alone last night... watching How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days.

Get Aware
This one should be about watching the news for women’s issues. But there’s nothing about women on TV today. So just go shopping till Oprah’s on.

Call Your Mom

...Then tell her she never loved you enough. It’s all about standing up for yourself today.

Think Internationally

Think about all the women all over the world and all of the different circumstances and backgrounds that we hail from. Take a moment to be thankful for what you have, and consider how you can help other women in different countries. Then, order some Indian take-out (live dangerously!) and watch last night's episode of The Bachelor.. they're in Africa this week, after all!

After a five year stint in Montreal Alex moved back to her native Toronto to do her Masters and began writing for different publications. When in doubt she always asks, what would Nick Cave do? Luckily the answer almost always involves velvet, wine and writing. In her spare time she enjoys watching civil war reenactments, sharing her James Bond level charm and talking about that girl who did that thing that one time.
