Make 2010 YOUR Year!
The New Year is around the corner. And for millions of people so is the hope that 2010 will be better than 2009. If you're like most, this time every year you take stock of your life and resolve to change the "bad habits" that no longer serve you. While your intention may be good, unless you know what you're doing, keeping your resolution is as likely as the Octomom finding someone willing to babysit.
Talking about change is not the same as actually doing the hard work towards making a change. In other words, you don't get what you want out of life just by thinking about it. If that were the case, I'd have been on Oprah a long time ago.
Generally, I don't wait until the New Year to make changes. I believe we're always evolving and you need to re-evaluate no matter what time of year it is. In fact, I took some time last month after my miscarriage to really look at my life. I did a lot of soul searching and asked myself many tough questions. It's when I started to listen to myself, become honest and pay attention to the answers, that the magic happened.
Since deciding to close the chapter on pregnancy and babies, I feel like the blueprint for my future is there for me to rewrite. And one of the many goals I want to achieve this year is to tone my body and build more muscle. Even though I can't remotely do a chin up and running for 30 seconds leaves me panting harder than a bitch in heat, I don't plan on cutting corners by injecting myself with strength enhancers that will change my voice to a baritone. I'm willing and committed to do the hard work of eating a clean diet (for the most part) and pushing myself at the gym.
We can all hide behind an excuse not to change. Mine was that I didn't want to start something new either personally or professionally, if I was potentially going to be pregnant again the next month. But now I have no excuse. And can't wait to roll up my sleeves and dive right in.
The reason why I know I'll achieve my goals is because I have a plan and a strategy in place. I know exactly what I have to do to succeed and the pitfalls I need to avoid. And I want to share it all with you. No matter how old you are, how many kids you have, or how much money you have in the bank, you can achieve whatever you desire. Let me show you how.
