Tummy Time With BabbaMat

Review of BabbaMat by BabbaCo

The BabbaMat by BabbaCo is basically a therm-a-rest for babies. It is a shorter, wider one than you use for camping but could also double as a camping cushion for your little one.

It's one of those great ideas you wish you thought of yourself. Great for tummy time on hardwood floors and with enough room for a playdate and their parent, this is something we'll use everyday.

It is light enough to take with you wherever you go and it wipes clean easily for spills, leaks, burps and more. I wish it was a little easily to fold up and that the case had a shoulder strap to make it easier to carry. Also perhaps it would better if the straps you use to roll it up were attached so you wouldn't lose them.

It really is simple and function and the chocolate brown colour matches well with all my furniture. It looks great on our living room floor. Still working on getting the baby to enjoy having tummy time, so far he still hates it, but I think it's a little bit better with the padding of the BabbaMat. I'm sure this will be useful for him as he gets older as well.

More about the mat:

  • It self-inflates into a 2-inch cushioned foam surface (not just air) without any blowing or batteries.
  • It's made of PVC-free material which is non toxic for babies.
  • The mat is 36 inches (length) x 52 inches (height) x 2 inches thick (width) and when rolled up it's 36 inches x 8 inches.
  • Inflating it is simple. The directions are: Inflate the mat by twisting the valve one way and let sit for 3-5 minutes for the BabbaMat to self-inflate. Once fully inflated, twist valve closed to keep the air in. When storing, twist open, roll up the mat while squeezing the air out and tighten the valve again.

Two thumbs up from this mom!

Thanks for the great review! We totally listen to our consumers and we're already implementing the new strap carrying case! Soon to come...and we'll replace all the original ones for free. :)
