Beam Me Up

Tilda Swinton reminds us of the Borg Queen in that one episode of Star Trek (don't ask how we know this), albeit a really STYLISH other-wordly life form.

She lands on the Cannes red carpet looking elegantly statuesque in a maroon Haider Ackermann gown that makes her pale skin, strawberry blonde hair and restrained makeup positively ethereal. Tilda looks like a tall drink of water indeed. Or rather, a tall glass of cabernet.

Cate Blanchett is still our number one avant-garde angel, but we happily drink from the cup of crazy couture that is Swinton on occasion.
