Diane von Furstenberg Will Warmly Welcome Mary-Kate and Ashley Into The CFDA

In the past few years, the Olsen Twins, also known by their big girl aliases, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, have gone from Full House to fashion powerhouse. The two tiny trendsetters will be inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). The girls will now join other big timers like Max Azria, Tory Burch, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, and Philip Lim, as they are recognized for their contributions to the American fashion world, both as designers, and style icons. Their two clothing lines, Elizabeth & James and The Row, are favourites among fellow celebrities as well as global fashionistas.

The CFDA is a not-for-profit trade association, made up of more than 300 of America's most successful and well known fashion and accessory designers. Their goal is to promote fashion and design as a legitimate leg of American arts and culture.

CFDA President Diane von Furstenburg will personally present the former child stars with their accolades at a lavish ceremony in New York this coming October.
