Rock and Roll legend further immortalized with the release of three different pairs of Jimi Hendrix Converse shoes

For fall 2010, Converse is coming out with a line of incredible new shoes that are surely to find themselves in a closet near you. In the past, the company has created a number of shoes to honor classic Rock N'Roll heroes like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, The Doors and Kurt Cobain. This season they are adding another iconic rock star to their list; Jimi Hendrix. The Jimi Hendrix Experience Music Collection will include three different and unique Chuck Taylors. The first is patterned after the Axis: Bold as Love album cover, while the second commemorates his Electric Ladyland album. The last shoe (which is my absolute favorite!) is styled after a Bristish military jacket that was frequently worn by Hendrix.

Converse is also launching a pink Chuck Taylor for ladies that is inspired by Janis Joplin's signature look characterized by her iconic glasses and hair.

These drool worthy shoes will be available mid August. More information will be posted the minute these fantastic shoes drop.
