Lady Vogue Will Put Her Life Down on Paper
Somehow
it seems that fashion and literature go hand in hand. Whether its a
naughty model tell-all or a coffee-table tale of all things couture,
there are no shortage of books about fashion. Yesterday it was
announced that Grace Coddington will be adding to this lengthy literary
list. Vogue's creative director and former
model has finalized plans to pen her memoir.
Having already won fashion
fanatics over with her appearance on the critically acclaimed
television show The September Issue last yea year, Coddington's story
will likely be lapped up by ladies (and men, too) across the globe.
The book will allow readers to follow fluff-headed Coddington from
childhood, to runway, to story meetings, and will even speak candidly
of the car wreck that significantly marked her life.
Sceptics
have already come out and complained that the last thing the world
needs right now is another self-righteous autobiography about someone
who got by one being pretty and having good taste. However Coddington's
camp says this story will be about something much more, and will serve
as an inspiration to all young girls who want to make it in the fashion
biz, but don't know where to begin.
