Seven Essential Items in a Women's Purse

Items that should always be within arm's reach just in case you need to avert a crisis

Twenty minutes before your presentation and you're hit with a pounding headache that only seems to be getting worse. After pleading with every single person you come into contact with you realize that no one has any Advil (or even Tylenol!). This crisis could have been easily adverted. Next time you have some extra time put together a little bag filled with essentials that will allow you to avert any type of horrific crisis. Here is my pick of top 7 must have items that should always be just a reach away:

7. A Mini Deodorant: So you are half way through the day and you start to notice a foul stench. After taking a quick whiff you realize that the smell is coming from your armpits! It's always handy to have a mini deodorant in case of a smelly emergency. These pint size items can be easily purchased at your nearest Shopper's Drugmart!

6. Pain relievers: Whether it's Advil, Ibuprofen or Tylenol it's always handy to have a couple of pain killers around just in case something starts to hurt.

5. Hand Sanitizers: There are so many sticky and dirty situations that we can find ourselves in during the day. Having a mini bottle of Purell (or any other product) around allows you to quickly wash your hands when there is no bathroom in sight.

4. Tide to go: It seems that every single time I put on something white, I get dirty in 10 seconds flat. Instead of walking around with a huge stain on your shirt (or pants!), keep a mini Tide stick in your purse for those stain emergencies.

3. Anything that will Freshen your Breath: In my little bag is a Listerine pocket spray. Let's be honest, after your morning coffee (or maybe that garlic sandwich) your breath is going to smell less than stellar. So please stop torturing anyone who comes close to you with your stinky breath! Freshen your breath with some Listerine or chewing gum.

2. Facial Blotting Papers: Not everyone needs these little papers, but if you've been blessed' with oily skin you know where I'm coming from. Oily skin irritates me. So instead of washing my face (especially mid day when I have all my make up on), I just use one piece of small paper to make the problem disappear.

1. One (or even two) feminine hygiene products: Mother Nature is a trickster. Sometimes she makes our gift' come a little earlier than expected. Instead of running around like a mad woman to try and find something, pack one or two pads (or tampons) in your little bag just in case.

Finally, make sure to put everything in a cute little cosmetic bag that can be easily transferred from one purse to another! Enjoy!
