Joe Freshens Up The Scouts' Wardrobe

Oh em gee! We love this!

It was just announced today that Joe Fresh, one of our most favourite (and deliciously affordable) Canadian clothing lines, will be teaming up with Scouts Canada, the country's largest youth organization, to design their new uniforms!

How funny! Joe Fresh designed my work uniform, too.

The last time the patterns were even looked at was twenty years ago! Talk about outdated.

According to the press release, the Scouts can expect their new tailored duds as early as September 2011!

We are thrilled to be working with Scouts Canada on such an iconic uniform for an organization that plays an important part in the lives of many young Canadians. Our goal is to create apparel that will appeal to everyone youth, their families and Scouting leaders across the country, says Joe Mimran of Joseph Mimran & Associates.

Mimran might best be known for his work with Club Monaco, and now Joe Fresh.

According to them, their efforts to update the look of the Scouts is part of the SCOUTING NOW Action Plan for Canadian Scouting. This initiative is intended to breathe new life into the organization, making it cool again for young boys and girls to get involved.

We think this is a great idea, Joe.
