Why You Shouldn't Wear "The Meat Dress" For Halloween

... Or Ever.

Yeah, yeah, Lady Gaga is a prominent fashion icon and inspiration for all of the world with her pro-human rights advocacy and loyalty to her adoring little monsters...(*gasps for air*).

We get it, Gaga is in. Shock value was at its peak during the 2010 MTV VMA Awards when Gaga's raw meat apparel made its debut along the red carpet, complete with a fleshy hat and handbag.

Critics were torn between disgust and amusement over the stunt, while PETA activists and celebrity animal lover Ellen DeGeneres had major beef with the wardrobe selection. For any of you party-goers who are looking to slice up some bacon for a last minute costume this weekend, credible sources are asking you to reconsider.

A New Jersey based butcher has put effort into posting a video specifically for people who are thinking about recreating the fleshy garb, warning them that it's a terrible idea.

If it's fresh meat, you're going to get blood juice over everything you touch or sit on - so it's not very hygienic, he says.

We agree. Not to mention, the outfit selection if copied down to a tee is said to be quite costly. Is it worth it?

If you're really intent on donning the infamous fashion faux pas of 2010, try constructing it with alternative materials. Red fabric, linen cloths, maybe some silly putty....please, anything but meat!
