A Sneak Peek of H&M's collaboration with Lanvin

This week has been dubbed Happy For Lanvin for H&M Week in the US. The new collection will be reviewed by American press today. It's already been seen in the U.K. and Japan. But hey, we wake up later...

Though H&M certainly is no stranger to guest designers Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor&Rolf, Madonna, Roberto Cavalli, Comme des Garcons, Mathew Williamson, Kylie Minogue, Jimmy Choo and Sonia Rykiel - this very well could be the most anticipated collaboration in recent fashion history. From the photos, lookbooks, videos and advertisements, it's almost guaranteed the collection won't have a long shelf life.

But what's even better than a dream collaboration? Fashion genius at comfortable price points? Nah. It's timing!

The timing could not be better, with the holiday season (and the fetes that come with it) right around the corner.

We hear that cocktail and party dresses overwhelm the line,' along with 'Sweetheart necklines, frills, belting, rouching, tiers, pleats, faux furs, exotic prints, bows, silks, metallics, buttons, florals and beads,' [oh my!] The feeling is young and colorful, with a feminine and strong silhouette, that only Lanvin could pull off.

Judging from newly released photos, you can expect Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz to live up to the hype. He's put that Lanvin touch on everything, leaving nothing to the wayside - dresses, jackets, skirts, tees, shoes, jewelry, bags, accessories, and even menswear gets full treatment.

Keep your eyes peeled for a fashion frenzy at an H&M near you, sometime around November 20th.

About the author:

Sometimes she's a redhead, sometimes she's a blonde. Some days it's H&M, and on other days, it's Chanel. What ever the mood, she is a woman who is passionate about the arts, fashion and social media. Born in Toronto, Hilary Lauren Fox is an only child to artist parents - mom was an illustrator and pattern maker, dad was a painter.  Rather then studying the arts as her parents hoped for, Hilary opted for a degree in psychology with dreams of working in a clinical setting. But after graduating she realized that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and that the arts was in her blood, applying her education within the art and fashion world.
