UGG Australia Launches New Line
When we think UGG, too many of us think "ugh".
Women may love them for their cozy comfort and warmth - but not so much for their look. In our bitter cold Canadian winter, having a pair is nearly essential. So we bite the bullet, and wear em' proudly.
However, in hopes of taking their product from function to fashion, UGG teamed up with Jimmy Choo to launch an entirely new collection -- one that would ease any "cold feet" we may experience before stepping out the door in a pair. And the result? Well, we're torn, and that's just putting it lightly.

UGG Australia is now boasting an expansive line of fashionable footwear for women, men, and children. Branching out from their traditional less-is-more deisgn, the line features boots, slippers, casual sneakers, flats, and clogs that are bedazzled to high heavens. For the holiday season, the women's UGG Classic Short Sparkles was featured this year as one of Oprah's Favorite Things.
But then, there is their glittery take on on the signature short boot (below). Yikes! Covered wholly in sequins, this boot looks like a shearling lounge singer. The holiday boots are currently only available online and in Montreal for a limited time. And although the Choo boots weren't exactly our bag, we were way impressed with the wide selection for both Fall and Spring,
complete with duck shoes and even a few pairs of heels.

WOMAN.ca had the privilege of attending the launch at The Spoke Club on Monday where we sat down with UGG VP of Sales in Canada, Silva Shotigian.
There, she gave us the inside scoop on how and why UGG will continue to thrive as a brand. According to her, compared to last season, the SS2011 line has expanded threefold, and the response has been positive.
What do you think? Has UGG revamped itself? Check out the new line here!
