This Season's Swim Fashion

Ready to hit the beach and indulge in a bit of well deserved sun bathing? So are we. By now you must be wondering what kind of swim suits to look out for and we've got you covered - barely.

It's an eclectic mix of style for Spring/Summer 2011, going retro vintage and aiming for a healthy combination of modesty and showing off.

Here are the top five trends in swimwear this season:

Retro one piece - Vintage one pieces are definitely in. Floral patterns or solid colours, don't be afraid to cover up and rock the one piece this summer. Fashionable, modest, and no need to worry about your top falling of in the water!

Cut out - Crocheted cut outs, strappy cut-outs, halter cut-outs....whatever flaunts your figure best, the cut out is still hot and a great pick for girls who don't mind showing off some skin.

High-waisted - High waisted swim suits sit up on the waist just below your belly and are reminiscent of polka-dotted pin up girls. Very chic!

Tropical - Since we're all about going big on colour this season, swimsuits are not excluded and you'll find vibrant tropical patterns and prints all over the beach. Watermelon printed bikinis, here we come!

Detail - Frills, skirts, cute belts and buckles are going to be added to swim wear this year, focusing more on chic style than skin exposure. The more detail the better so head into that beach shop and get fancy!
