How to choose the right shades for summer

altThe sun's shining, which can only mean one thing - time for a new pair of shades. Picking out sunglasses is one of early summer's little pleasures, because it means you get a new accessory you'll get to sport on the daily. Of course, if you're not happy with the pair you pick, you're not going to wind up very thrilled with those sunny summer afternoons. That's why it's important to find the perfect pair!

With hundreds of designs to chose from, you'll have to ask yourself what you want. If you're looking for something classic, a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers or timeless Aviators could be just the ticket. These instantly-recognizable sunglasses are bound to get you plenty of compliments on your elegant taste.

On the other hand, if you want to stand out in the crowd, don't shy away from some trendy stunner shades. You could go for a pair of Kanye West's famous Venetian blind sunglasses - or you could be (slightly) more subtle in a retro pair with brightly-colored frames.

Whatever you choose, just make sure that it'll protect your eyes. Look for frames that say "UV absorption," "UV protection" or "Meets ANSI UV requirements” on the label, as these terms indicate that the lenses will filter out more than 99 percent of harmful UV rays - keeping your peepers safe all summer long.
