WOMAN.ca Talks to Greta Constantine
W: What about the fash biz keeps you moving forward?
GC: It's our dream. Our way of making people feel good ... When you can be part of that fantasy, you feel like you are writing a book. It's exciting!
W: In 2008, you designed a doll for charity auction to benefit War Child.any more projects like this on the horizon?
GC: We do different things and would love to someday set up our own [independent] charity organization. We'll have a dress in the Heart & Truth runway show [a special Fashion Week event that raises awareness about the risk of heart disease and stroke for women] and we are participating in the breast cancer event sponsored by Cashmere.
W: Lastly, what is the scoop on Greta Constantine? Anything personal or professional going on that's got you excited?
GC: It was a real tipping point for us last Friday. [The show] reviews have been nothing but great! Definitely a good feeling to get other people's opinions.
Other than that, que sera sera. The future is not ours to see is our motto. Every day is different and you never know who will call or email ... We've been asked to design for a few different [film] projects and we are just thrilled with our future prospects!
