Both Yummy and Healthy!
We'll admit. We've often said, this is the month where I will surely eat right.
We
swear off certain foods, eat other weird foods, adopt ill-flavoured
diets -- and then give up after three days.
The reason? Eating right
just tastes.... wrong.
Or
at least that's what we thought. The truth is that eating right doesn't
have to mean choking down bitter greens and tasteless grains. In fact,
eating right can actually be easy, and tasty. Just ask Kashi.
Typically,
anything that says healthy on the box sends our stomachs churning and
our legs pumping in the other direction. Today, Kashi proved our
stomachs and our wandering legs very, very wrong.
The
good people at Kashi sent us the Kashi Survival Kit, and let us just
tell you - this can help you survive a day at the office just as well
as it can a hike in High Park.
Honey
Sunshine Cereal started our day off right, as we gulped down spoonfuls
(which lead to handfuls) of this delicious seven grain breakfast food.
We enjoyed it so much that we were shocked to learn that there were
four grams of fibre in each serving... And it didn't look like rabbit
pellets! Then came the Dark Mocha Almond Bars, an oh-so-good, super
chewy treat that curbed our afternoon cravings better than a pop and a
bag of chips from the vending machine. Drizzled in chocolate, and soft
to the touch, this snack wins our vote for the best midday hump beater.
And of course, they tossed in a reusable Kashi water bottle to sweeten the deal (as if this deal could get any sweeter).
If
you know a health food skeptic - you know, the ones who simply cannot
fathom a switch from white bread to brown -- introduce them to Kashi. WOMAN.ca approved!
