Looking for a way to tone those legs so you can look your
best in your bikini this summer? Getting your calves and thighs in
shape is a challenge - you use them every day when you walk, climb
stairs, stand up, sit down and so on, so finding a way to work them out
and build muscle is easier said than done. But with these easy
exercises, you can get sexy, toned legs in time for that beach vacation
you've been planning!
First, invest in some weights. Depending on your level of previous training, you can go for 5, 10 or 15 pound handheld barbells. Use them while you do lunges - stand with your feet shoulder length apart, barbells in your fists and arms at your sides. Then, step and lean forward, alternating legs to work out your glutes and quads.
Stairs are another great way to tone your legs. On your way to work, skip the escalator or the elevator - take the stairs instead. You can even use a stair in your home to do quick, repetitive lifts - these will strength and tone your calves.
Finally, jog. You don't have to run a marathon. A quick jog in the morning will work your legs, helping to tone the muscle and slim down fat all over your body.
