Toronto introduces unique independent coffee shop promotion

Still don't have a passport? Good news for wannabe travelers who love a good cup of java as much as they love globe trotting. We've just discovered the most coveted travel document around and it's sure to kick those procrastination habits - and the best part is, you get to stay right here in the big city. Wake up and smell the indie coffee passport!

The best of Toronto's independent coffee culture have teamed up to offer an access card to 24 participating coffee shops south of Bloor, under the most innovative promotional trend yet. For $20 a passport, coffee lovers get $120 worth of coffee and one free cup (up to $5 on the menu) at each store, for 7 months. Sounds like a good deal to us! With big name coffee brewers like Starbucks and Second Cup opening up more and more locations on every block, the need for local indie support is growing at a faster rate than ever. If you're new to Toronto or have always wanted to expand your coffee experience in some of the more artsy neighbourhoods around the city, this is the perfect opportunity to get out there and be a part of the local caffeine scene. As the days start to get cooler, you'll be ready for a good roast in no time, right? If that isn't enticing enough, maybe the chance at winning a prize might sell you.

A contest is on now for the first person to visit all 24 store locations with a photograph of each spot before October 1st. Winner receives a BODUMĀ® French press and a bag of freshly roasted coffee beans from one of the participating shops. The passport is being sold for $20 only until October 1st, after which point it will go up to $25. So hurry up and get your hands on the indie coffee passport and start collecting stamps from the following hot spots:
