It's tea time

altIs there anything better than relaxing on the porch on a summer afternoon, sipping on a cup of cold iced tea? While you might enjoy the hot stuff in the wintertime, few things are more refreshing than a tall glass iced tea. Here are a few of our favorite varieties to help make those lazy summertime moments even more enjoyable.

Not a hardcore tea drinker? Ease into the beverage by sipping on a drink named for the golfer who popularized it - an Arnold Palmer. Half iced tea, half lemonade, this sweet-and-bitter drink is ideal for a summer afternoon. All of the cooling goodness of lemonade, plus the kick of caffeine from the tea? Could there be a more perfect combo? Plus, you can make it with any tea you like - from Earl Grey to fruity varieties - so it's totally customizable.

If you like your beverages sugary, then try the Southern staple: sweet tea. Syrupy, sticky and delicious, this tea is almost as big a treat as a soda pop. Add a slice of lemon for a truly delectable drink that'll have you speaking in a Southern drawl in no time.

For those who like it straight-up, any tea can be turned into an iced tea. Just make hot tea the night before, store in the refrigerator while you sleep and add ice in the morning for a great way to wake up.
