Looking for a summer drink that's eminently refreshing, deliciously cirtusy and just a little bit boozy? Look no further than this sangria recipe, courtesy of Cosmopolitan.com via Fiamma Trattoria at The James Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona, where they know a thing or two about staying cool when the temperature soars.
If you're in search of a refreshing take on the classic sangria that recalls summertime lemonade stands, then look no further. To make this sweet concoction, combine a bottle of pinot grigio with 10 lemon slices, 2 diced bartlett pears, one cup of triple sec, one cup of brandy and a splash of ginger ale. Let the mixture chill for at least four hours to allow the flavors to meld before you enjoy. Serve to your guests at a luncheon or sip on it by yourself as you lay out by the pool (we won't tell). It's an excellent accompaniment to a dinner of fresh grilled sea scallops, shrimp, halibut or other seafood, and is equally yummy when served with light pasta dishes, fresh fruit, grilled veggies and a variety of summer scallops
