Twitter launches new look

The most popular and wildly growing social network platform on the Internet is set to implement changes that will be effective as soon as today. CEO Evan Williams calls his new version of Twitter a "faster, easier, richer way to discover what's new in your world."

To inform users of what to expect in their new web environment, Williams sent these following 10 tweets:

Twitter is getting betterand bigger.

Twitter mobile users are up 250% this year.

Twitter is a real-time information network.

Twitter levels the playing field between creators and consumers of content.

You don't need to tweet to get value from Twitter any more than you need to make a web page to use the web.

A lot of people are tweeting, though.

Twitter is the best way to discover what's new in your world.

Infrastructure and performance are our biggest investment. They provide the foundation for new things.

Twitter.com has always been the most popular Twitter client. 78% of active users have used it in the last 30 days.

Today we're launching a new Twitter.coma faster, easier, and richer way to discover what's new in your world.

The changes are said to be a new interface as well as an integration of multimedia into Tweet streams. Some Twitter users have already seen changes today and are posting mixed reviews. Read more information here.
