It's been a little more than a month since Google
launched its social networking site, Google Plus. However, the website
has grown by leaps and bounds as more people have taken advantage of the
exclusive invites.
Recently, Google Plus reported that more than 20 million users had signed up since its launch, according to the International Business Times. This makes it one of the fastest-growing social networks in history.
Google Plus combines many of the aspects already seen on websites such as Facebook and Twitter. Users can post status updates, photos and share links with people who follow them. However, there is one key aspect that has more people favoring Google Plus over other websites: privacy.
Although people can add you to their "Circle" of friends, you do not have to add them back, similar to Twitter. Furthermore, you can limit people to how much information they can view on your profile.
More than 5 million people are now using Google Plus in the U.S. As the company determines a way to verify celebrity accounts and begins to open it to the public, the website will undoubtedly grow.
