The Must Have Accessory for Women on the Move
I am not going to lie, I like electronic gadgets. I love my sleek and super cool 3rd generation iPod. Not because it helps my daily commute feel like its very own music video but because of what it does for me and for my running. The music that pumps through my earbuds motivates and enthuses me, however it's the smallest gadget of all that actually keeps me going - it is the Nike+iPod.
The Nike+iPod is possibly one of the coolest gadgets I have ever owned. It consists of two parts: the sensor and the Nano attachment. The sensor is an oval object, which you attach to your shoe and the Nano attachment fits neatly to the bottom of the Nano iPod. Once the Nano and sensor connect and sense one and other you are off to the races...
Through your sensor, your Nano tracks the following intelligence on your runs: 1. KM/Miles run, 2.Calories exhausted, 3.KM/Mile Pace. When you run a Personal Best in any of these categories, elite athletes like Tiger Woods and Paula Radcliffe speak to you through your earbuds and actually congratulate you! It makes you feel like a total superstar, and in fact, sometimes I have been known to high five myself with great excitement!
Once your run is completed and you connect your iPod to your 'puter it loads the Nike+ website: where your runs are uploaded, tracked and graphed out for you! It is absolutely BRILLIANT! Not only is it motivating, it helps keep track of your progress. I am obsessed with every little thing about the Nike+iPod. It definitely adds some glee to lacing up those runners and hitting the pavement. Thanks Nike+, you have made my day!
