Ashton Kutcher beat CNN in their much-hyped Twitter race. Ashton reached 1 million followers about 30 minutes before CNN passed the mark at about 2:15 this morning.
In the most ridiculous "battle" since Todd Bridges vs. Vanilla Ice on "Celebrity Boxing," Ashton had thrown down the gauntlet, challenging the 24-7 news network to a Twitter war; the first to get a million followers wins.

Malaria Day if he beat CNN and 1,000 if he lost. CNN agreed to to do same.

CNN would have totally have killed it if Ashton had challenged "360" silver-haired anchor Anderson Cooper directly to a mano-on-keyboard,140-words-or-less war.
After his big win -- no single Twitter account had previously reached 1 million followers -- Ashton celebrated with champagne, surrounded by his wife, Demi Moore, and some friends. Ashton and Demi then did a victory dance to Kool &
the Gang's "Celebration."
