Britain's Got Young Talent!
Singing sensation Susan Boyle is about to learn her first important lesson about fame: It never lasts. Her clear path to victory on Britain's Got Talent has just hit a speed bump, namely 12-year old ankle-biter Shaheen Jafargholi.
The precocious powerhouse initially sang "Valerie" by Amy Winehouse before Simon "The Ego" Cowell stopped him and asked him to pick something else in one of those Cowell moments that you fear will end in disaster. Or show him reducing a child to tears.
But it turned out to be the right call as Shaheen delivered a David Archuleta-esque rendition of the Jackson Five's (you know Tito, Jermaine and the rest of the less talented clan) song "Who's Loving You" that brought the audience -- and more importantly, the judges -- to their feet.
"This is how one song can change your life," Cowell said following the performance.

This could spell trouble for Susan with a capital "T" because her appeal is all about shock and awe: No one expected that voice to come from that package. Now that we all know she's got talent, she'll be hard-pressed to recapture the magic in her next performance.
Which isn't to say Susan doesn't have something special; she does. But a cute (just look at those dimples!), talented kid will always trump an operatic 47-year old.
At least until his voice changes.
